Experian Deploys Real-Time AI Decisioning Across Lending Marketplaces

Experian has integrated its new enterprise AI underwriting platform, Experian Activate, into its consumer marketplace. The technology is designed to improve comparison and pre-qualification processes across credit cards, unsecured personal loans and auto insurance. By combining Experian’s extensive credit bureau data with predictive machine-learning models, the platform helps consumers identify offers for which they are more likely to qualify.

A key feature of Experian Activate is its use of consumer-authorized, real-time banking and cash-flow data to assess a borrower’s current financial position. Rather than relying solely on traditional credit histories, the system evaluates factors such as income flows, spending behavior and available liquidity. This broader assessment gives lenders a more up-to-date view of risk and can support access to credit for consumers with limited credit histories or those who have traditionally been underserved by conventional scoring models.
