Brex gets EU payment licence to expand across Europe

Brex has obtained its Payment Institution (PI) licence in the European Union via the Netherlands, enabling it to deliver its full suite of financial solutions directly to EU-based enterprises.

The newly acquired licence authorises Brex to operate across all EU member states, allowing direct issuance of commercial credit cards and execution of payment services, including direct debits and credit transfers. This removes previous geographical constraints and enables Brex to serve both European-headquartered companies and subsidiaries of multinational enterprises with locally accepted payment solutions and seamless integration into the EU’s financial infrastructure.
