Moneyview IPO Closes With 98.46X Oversubscription

Indian digital lender Moneyview completed its ₹1,092 crore ($130 million) initial public offering on September 28, with the issue subscribed 98.46 times.

The offer was priced at the top end of the range, at ₹34 per share, valuing the company at ₹5,985 crore ($624 million). The issue comprised ₹750 crore of fresh capital and an offer for sale of up to 10.05 million shares by co-founders Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal, as well as Accel, Tiger Global, Ribbit Capital, and DI Investment.

Demand was strongest among qualified institutional buyers, whose portion was subscribed 227.45 times, followed by non-institutional investors at 115.41 times and retail investors at 19.57 times.

The company’s listing on Indian stock exchanges on October 1 underscores sustained institutional interest in capital-efficient digital lending platforms as credit growth increasingly shifts toward unsecured personal and MSME loans.

Proceeds from the offering will be used to fund ₹325 crore of loan originations under default-loss guarantee arrangements and to inject ₹250 crore of additional capital into subsidiary NBFC Whizdm Finance, reinforcing the company’s high-return business model. Moneyview’s net profit in Q1 FY27 rose 2.6x year-on-year to ₹173.8 crore.
