Monzo turns down Nubank and now shops a stake to CVC and Advent

Monzo is in preliminary talks with CVC and Advent to sell a stake of up to 15% at a valuation of €11.8 billion. This follows the collapse of merger talks with Nu Holdings due to disagreements over a £8–10 billion valuation.

TPG and D. E. Shaw have also expressed interest in acquiring a stake. For the financial year ended March 2026, Monzo reported revenue of £1.7 billion and pre-tax profit of £172.6 million.
