WooCommerce, Mastercard partner to expand digital payments
WooCommerce has partnered with Mastercard to expand digital payment acceptance for ecommerce merchants across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), in a move aimed at streamlining online checkout experiences and improving access to local payment infrastructure. Under the collaboration, WooCommerce merchants will be able to integrate with Mastercard Merchant Cloud, the card network’s unified payments gateway that provides enhanced processing capabilities and advanced fraud prevention tools. The integration will also enable acceptance of a broader range of payment methods, including major card brands and non-card options, through connectivity with Mastercard’s network of more than 200 acquiring bank partners.
