Credicorp (BAP) Subsidiary Tenpo Gains Regulatory Approval in Chile
Credicorp’s digital banking arm in Chile, Tenpo, has achieved a significant milestone by securing operational approval from the Comisión para el Mercado Financiero, the Chilean financial regulatory authority.
This green light positions Tenpo as the first neobank in Chile to be licensed under the country’s comprehensive banking legislation. With this approval, Tenpo plans to launch its services as a regulated banking institution in the first half of 2026. The bank will provide a range of financial products, including checking accounts, consumer loans, and term deposits, enhancing its financial offerings in the Chilean market.
